BklynSTAT – Data Visualization & Analysis

My role: Data analysis, data visualization, Q&A, prototyping, interaction design, visual design, usability testing
Tools Used: Tableau, Excel, SQL
The Challenge: Transform Brooklyn Public Library’s wealth of operational data into a series of interactive data visualizations that help staff deliver stronger library services at their respective branches.
BklynSTAT is a powerful tool that lets staff easily interact with library data on circulation, programs, PC usage and more. Library staff can explore BPL data and discover valuable insights that will help them facilitate organizational planning and make strategic decisions. BklynSTAT enables staff at each branch to evaluate the library services they provide, and ensure services meeting the needs of the local communities they serve.
